I want to start this post out by first honoring all of the people who fight and risk their lives for our country. Veteran's day was this Saturday and I am grateful for our military heros.
This week I worked STEM event again! It was so much fun. Another first grade class from Maple Dale Elementary came to UC Blue Ash to learn about physics by creating catapults! The kids had a great time. They were laughing and smiling. My team, the Flinging Flyers (yes I am going to be trademarking that), did not win this time but that is okay because in the words of Jenson "I don't like competition because people brag and it makes people sad." First graders can be very philosophical. Anyways, it was a great time and seeing those kids on the college campus brings some extra joy into the day!
The end of the semester is near my friends! It is QUICKLY approaching and that is all entirely scary and exciting. I applied for a new position at school. It is called a Student Orientation Coordinator. I have my interview this Wednesday! I am very, very nervous. I will surely update you all on the process. Also, myself and 5 other Ambassadors will be attending a leadership conference in Akron this upcoming week. How exciting!
Have a great week. -L
