"Always running. I need more hours." The six word memoir that I created this week in the English Conversation Group. The other students in the English Conversation Group are becoming some of my good friends. We've all become friends on Snapchat, which is neat. This week we talked about a lot of different things. We shared a funny story from our childhood, talked about cultural differences on Halloween, and created a six word memoir to describe ourselves. My friends Ludwing, Emma, Mackenize (all Ambassadors), and I are working on creating an event for the Fall Semester. We want to do something for Halloween and incorporate other cultures. Ludwing and I talked to the English Conversation Group about how they celebrate Halloween or if there are any holidays in their culture that are similar. We got some really good input. For example, did you know that some Chinese cultures have three different holidays that are similar to the holiday "Day of the Dead". We are really excited about the information we collected and when the event is finalized, I will share more details!
Academically, life is alright. I had my first set of exams this week and the stress was real. I definitely feel like I need to go on vacation...already. In Social Psychology we have a final project and I finished my Project Proposal! I will be researching Love and the Brain. I will be looking at some research studies that have been conducted on what goes on in the brain while someone is in romantic love. It will be very lengthy and difficult but I am very excited that I have a topic.
Now, I am going to finish some homework! Tune in next week. -L
